I’m trying to retire but creative people seldom do. After moving to Nelson BC in 2016 life has been very different with new and old friends, new challenges and new adventures.

This is the view from my new office On a clear day I can see miles down the lake and surrounding mountains. I’m so happy to be back in the Kootenay mountains.

The final instalment of The Hobbit is being released soon and this marks the 10th anniversary of my film Lord of the Brush. This was a documentary about the BC born internationally renowned artist John Howe.

John was one of the major influencers for Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit.
