A Cinematic Delight- Turkish Film Festival Australia The Australia Wide Turkish Film Festival Since 1968 Turkish citizens have been migrating to Australia and choosing it as their home.

Recent years have seen an increase in migration numbers with a young, educated and skilled community interested in sharing their cultural background with fellow Australians. Due to distribution difficulties, it is only through festivals that Turkish films can be seen by Australian spectators on the Big Screen; hence, the focus of the Turkish Film Festival is to introduce Turkish film, history and

industry to Australia with the intention of showcasing the latest Turkish Films. We aim to create a space where we can share the cultural experience of film among the two nations and create a platform for future partnerships among the two industries. Acting as a window, the events held by this organisation will gaze into past and present lifestyle issues, attitudes, and socioeconomic changes, taking a look at the cultural and political shifts into the Republic of Turkey through the diverse language of film.
