Hey.... It has been a while since I posted...but here is another great movie, Stepmom.
I only decided that it made it to the list not because of how the stepmom, played by Julia Robert's, dealt with her becoming a Stepmom and how she tried to be a peace with the children's mother, but because of the messages the dying mother gave to her children on Christmas day. Applied to real life, it is worth watching by all, especially those battling cancer. It also brings about the point that the portrayal of a stepmother as a wicked person is taboo. They do try to adapt and they deserve credit.
The movie is on Netflix!! Stick with the recommended age...13 and older. Warning...there is a cursing at around 25mins 51 sec.
Storyline: Isabel gets engaged to Luke, a divorcee, and tries her best to keep his children happy. Luke's ex-wife, Jackie, loathes Isabel. However, things change when Jackie gets diagnosed with cancer.
