💣 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘: Another manufacturer is targeting the MXGP World Championship!

🎙 "Our intention is to enter the MXGP World Championship from the 2027 season onwards."

That's the message from ZXMOTO Racing Director Jesús Rincón, who has confirmed that the Chinese manufacturer is aiming to take on MXGP from 2027.

The 450cc machine is already in development, with work taking place across China and Europe as the ambitious project gathers pace. 👀

The all-new Yamaha YZ250F for the 2027 model year introduces an intriguing evolution of its engine design. The intake valves are now actuated by lightweight finger followers, while the exhaust valves continue to use Yamaha's proven direct bucket tappet system.

This is not an entirely new idea in the off-road world. A similar valve train concept appeared several years ago in the BMW G450X engine. However, Yamaha's decision to revisit and refine this solution in its latest YZ250F underlines the relentless search for every possible advantage in modern motocross engine development.
