Our February Awareness Gathering was another success, a good mixture of filmmakers, actors, philanthropists, and organizations fighting child trafficking.
Guests were treated to amazing singing performances from singer/actress Diana Salvatore accompanied by Tony Romero on the keyboard and Tomas Ramirez Altamirano on guitar. Lily Piette made her singing debut and wowed the room too. Film director John Penney provided wine from his fantastic vineyard.
A talk was given on child trafficking and ways to protect your children. Internet safety and building trust with your children so they let you know if they are getting any strange requests or online approaches that seem inappropriate is key.
Board member Patrick Erlandson also filled all in about the upcoming See it. End it. Film, Arts and Music Festival happening Fri 3rd and Sat 4th in April, in San Pedro.
As always we want your feedback, ideas, and volunteers. We also need help with getting silent auction items for our events so if you are able to get a restaurant voucher, jewelry, nice handbags, gift baskets, great experiences, classes, or anything you think would be a good fit - please keep it in mind.
Save the date for our next event: Sunday, March 15th @ 4pm-8pm
Look forward to seeing you all then!

Our hearts for out to Letty Serrano's family for the loss of their 15 year old daughter who committed suicide after being rescued from trafficking. Child trafficking has to be stopped and teenagers educated on techniques traffickers used to manipulate their victims. This story is heartbreaking.
