What an incredible night it was featuring Pakistani and French films last week! Pakistan Embassy US and Alliance FranΓ§aise de Washington DC brought a wonderful selection and a substantive discussion that touched on topics of history, filmmaking styles, geography, artistic expression, mental health, development, and much more. EAS is all about the dialogue, understanding, and insight through the medium of short film. 🎬 Plus, we enjoyed a fantastic reception to cap off the night. 20th Anniversary EuroAsia Shorts Film Festival | Austrian-Indonesian Partner Film Night on June 8, 2026

Join us in celebrating the 20th anniversary of EuroAsia Shorts and the 250th anniversary of the DC-based festival's host nation with a mix of favorite short films from the past two decades and new films that represent a bright new horizon.

EuroAsia Shorts (EAS) returns with in-person screenings, discussions, and reception events featuring international short films at Washington, D.C. embassies and cultural centers, all free to the public, from June 5 – 12, 2026! This year, six EAS screening events take place. The first five evenings are dedicated to Partner Nights blending short films from two countries designed as a conversation on this year's central theme, Past/Present/Future. They will be followed by the traditional Closing Night on Friday, June 12, presenting shorts from all 10 partner countries (Austria, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Spain).
