🎞️ Remember the days of home movies on 8mm or Super8 film? These tiny reels were the go-to for recording family events in the 1960s and 70s! Super8 even introduced a sound feature in 1973, making it a favorite for family films.

Got old reels? Let us digitize them so you can enjoy those memories for years to come! 🎥 ”

📚 Remember flipping through photo albums? There’s something special about holding memories in your hands, but those pages won’t last forever. That’s why digitizing your albums is a smart way to keep those moments safe while still preserving their charm.

📼 Who remembers watching family events on VHS? 📺 VHS tapes ruled home entertainment for nearly two decades, but sadly, they degrade over time—losing video and sound quality after just 15-20 years.

🖼️ Diapositives (more commonly known as Slides) were popular in the mid-20th century for high-quality image projection! They were often used in art and education due to their ability to maintain vibrant colors when projected.

DPI (dots per inch) can be a tricky thing but it's important to know which you want to go with before you dive into your digitizing project.

Here are my standard recommendations:

For photos and albums, I recommend 600 DPI. This is our standard DPI level. It provides a high-quality scan while keeping your files easy to manage and cost low.

For slides and negatives, I recommend a minimum of 1200 DPI and up to 4800 DPI if you plan to enlarge and re-print the images. Since the originals for slides and negatives are so small, having a higher DPI allows you to enlarge the images further before they start to get blurry.

For more details about DPI, check out our FAQ page on our website. (Link in bio)
