We got some good news yesterday - the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival has named our short film “Puma Matriarchs of Torres Del Paine” as an “Official Selection” in its 2026 festival. We understand “Puma Matriarchs” will be screening in Cape May, NJ in June. The Cape May event is a precursor to the full-fledged festival in Monterrey, Mexico in September.

You can keep up to date on “Puma Matriarchs” on the dedicated website:

“The Beginning” - on our first trip to Patagonia (I think it was actually on our first day in the field), we were blessed with an encounter with Sarmiento and her 3 cubs (about 4 months old). One of the cubs (on the left in this image) is Petaca. She became a mother, raising several litters, and is now the dominant female cat in her territory. Also a “movie star” featured on several blue chip TV documentary productions.

Shiela also filmed this scene - it’s included in our latest short documentary “Puma Matriarchs of Torres del Paine” https://www.pumamatriarchs.com/ .

We have produced a new short documentary film, "Puma Matriarchs of Torres Del Paine." We submitted the film to a bunch of film festivals that require "premiere" status. So we haven't shared the film publicly yet. Here's what we can share:

"Puma Matriarchs" chronicles the lives of three mother Pumas (aka Mountain Lion, Cougar) as they survive and thrive in the rugged terrain of Chilean Patagonia. These three moms, Sarmiento, Rupestra and Petaca, drive the dynamics of living and dominating their respective territories.

We are excited to share that the film has been named an Official Selection of the 2026 Wyoming International Film Festival and 2026 Alpine International Film Festival. We plan on attending the Wyoming festival in Cheyenne, WY in July!

Stay tuned for further updates on this project!

“Yellowstone’s Wild Heart” (Short Preview)
Short film preview we released on YouTube today. Click link below to check it out. Just starting work on a longer form film highlighting YS in winter.

Yellowstone is magical in the winter. Yes it's frigid and there is typically a ton of snow on the ground. But the (non-hibernating) wildlife doesn't stop living life in the winter. Under the icy surface, a wild heart still beats.

In this short video we showcase a face-to-face with a wild wolf. David's first up close wolf! Thank you Aaron Baggenstos and Mike Darter of Aaron's Tours (www.aaronstours.com) for leading us all to the wolf! We also caught a Coyote mousing and (on an earlier trip) a couple young bull Elk sparring.

Shot on RED Digital Cinema cameras.

“Golden Hour on the Chobe”
Latest YouTube short released - click on the link below to check out this sub-1 minute video. The Chobe River in Botswana features a massive diversity of bird life and other wildlife. And when the sun gets low in the sky, the animals relax and seem to behave more naturally, and the colors pop.

Hope you enjoy this content!
