Lauren was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood immediately following the incident undergoing an emergency labectomy to remove a portion of the front left lobe of her brain as well as surgery to extract a portion of her skull to relieve pr

Many of you know that our family has walked the long road of recovery after a traumatic injury. Because of that, stories like Alyssa's hit especially close to home.
Alyssa is the daughter of my son-in-law's cousin, and our hearts are breaking for her family as they begin this unexpected journey.
Please take a moment to read and share this post. Most importantly, please keep Alyssa, her parents Jake and Stephanie, and her brother Lucas in your prayers.
We know firsthand that recovery takes a village. The love, prayers, encouragement, and support of a community can make all the difference during the difficult days ahead.
If you are able, please consider donating to Alyssa's GoFundMe to help her family focus on what matters most,Alyssa's healing and recovery.
Thank you for lifting this family up.

A few snapshots from a keynote earlier this year, taken after we spoke. We’re always so grateful when clients bring in photographers, it’s a gift to have these moments captured. Walker sure is handsome!

Last night, several Murphys (missing a few) attended the Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis (BIFSTL) gala.
John O’Leary was the guest speaker, and as expected, incredible. Lauren is standing next to John in the first photo.
Both miracles defied the odds, not just because of their determination, and grit, but because people showed up for them in ways we could have never imagined, friends, family, strangers, celebrities, and an entire community.
Grateful for BIFSTL and a fun night out.inspires

We are honored to have been invited by Ametros to speak at their conference at Disney to share Lauren’s story.

Grateful for the opportunity, the amazing audience and the generous hospitality, including a little Disney magic in the parks.

I think Walker may have given Pluto a run for his money. Walker was by far the cutest dog in the park. (Sorry we made you wear Mickey ears and pose for a gazillion photos Walker)🐕‍🦺

Today we’re sharing a video that captures the heart of why we speak, not to just showcase our journey, but to reflect what’s possible within yours.
Over and over again, we hear a similar response from audiences: “I walked in expecting a story. I walked out thinking differently about resilience, leadership, and what it means to keep going.”
We are deeply grateful for every audience who welcomed us.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to connect with new organizations and groups of all kinds.
If you know an organization or group that would benefit from hearing our story, we’d be grateful if you shared this video with them.
Now booking 2026 events for conferences, organizations, and groups of all sizes.
