✨ Designed for the modern outdoors✨ “Innovative design and supreme comfort” - Rolling Stone So, True Places was born.

We founded True Places to build a modern outdoor product company that reflected the way we live our lives today: relevant for the most meaningful outdoor moments and at a quality that we expect. We kept asking the same questions — why do the things we use when we’re outside with family and friends keep falling apart? Why is anything that’s portable so uncomfortable, and anything comfortable so heavy and expensive? Why don’t these things work as well or look as good as other things in our lives? We realized we weren’t the only ones wishing for better and, with backgrounds in product innovation, we could actually do something about it. After thousands of hours of researching, designing and experimenting, we can’t wait to share the first results with you, wherever your true places may be.

Hello Zion National Park!!
We love it when you send us your photos of your Emmett chairs in action, whether at home or out and about. Thank you Jim G. for this gem. Hope you’re having an amazing time at Zion 😊

What’s happening in the modern outdoors near me?! We kept getting asked that question so we created a tool to help! 💡🎉

Check out our new Out and About Activity Finder on our website (and link in bio). Select which kinds of activities you’re interested in and how far you want to go, and see all the great events and activities around you! We pull in information from all kinds of sources beyond just a regular search online so you can see what’s going on near you and enjoy the modern outdoors even more 🤩

This new tool is just in beta mode, so let us know what you think through the feedback form link on the page after checking it out!

We’re working on making a limited number of Emmett chairs available later in the spring (realistically it’ll likely be sometime in mid-late June; stay tuned!)

Thank you for your patience, it’s been a hellava year! And thank you for all the words of support, they mean a lot to our team. Please join the email list on our website to be the very first to know when chairs are released and follow along on here to stay updated. In the meantime, enjoy the spring!

Hope you’re able to give thanks with family and friends this year, and enjoy the outdoors at the same time!

We may be completely sold out of Emmett chairs for now, but we hope to be able to make at least a few new chairs available in the spring.
In the meantime, keep on keeping on, wherever your true places are!
