Today I rode the 13 mile Great Peanut Tour Ride.
Many years ago there were over 1600 riders , from 22 states on this ride. Today unfortunately, I was the only rider!! I really miss the event!🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚲🚲🚴‍♀️

Monday Motivation! Bobby Wrenn, from Emporia, VA, turned 90 on June 19th and completed his annual birthday ride of 100 MILES on the Capital Trail‼️ (That's right - an annual birthday tradition!)

Bobby started at the Charles City Courthouse and rode to Richmond, then to Jamestown and back for a total of 103 MILES! This year, he was accompanied by several other riders but not everyone completed the trip. Way to go, Bobby! 🚴🎂

From Bobby Wrenn

On Saturday, March 29th, my only brother James Solomon Wrenn, Jr. passed away at the age of 98 years.
He lived a full and interesting life. He served his country in wwII as a Lt. Commander in the US Navy! He graduated from USC with a degree in Cinema, and spent many years producing Educational Films for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is also survived by a son, two daughters and their families!

Many will remember Chet from The Great Peanut Tour.

On Saturday September 28, 2019 at approximately 5:49 am the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call stating that there was a pedestrian and a bicycle laying in the ditch of the 1000 block of Slagle Lake Rd located in Greensville County Virginia.
Upon arrival of the deputies, It appeared that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and the vehicle had left scene. The pedestrian was deceased. The pedestrian was identified as Henry Chet Boone of Greensville County Virginia.
This is an ongoing joint investigation by the Virginia State Police and Greensville County Sheriff’s Office. We would encourage anyone with information relating to this incident please contact the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office or Virginia State Police.
Through the determination and dedication of Dep. K. Hines, Dep. C. Edwards, First Sgt. R. Person, Trooper Mann and Sgt. Hernandez a suspect was developed.
Christopher Reed age 35 of Greensville County Virginia was arrested and charged with Hit and Run and Involuntary Manslaughter.
Reed is being held at the Southside Regional Jail under a $5000.00 secured bond.
I commend the deputies and troopers for working jointly in order to start the process in closure for all involved.

W. T. Jarratt Jr., Sheriff
