Always loved the Harlem Globetrotters as a kid and got to see them play once at the Ingelwood Forum if my memory is correct. Fred "Curly" Neal was a favorite, of course.

Here's an SNL TV Funhouse with the Globetrotters I directed back in 1998, pre-Youtube. How'd we get the reference?

The film "My Depression: The Up and Down and Up of it", directed by David Wachteneim, Robert Marianetti and Elizabeth Swados is now available to order online for a very affordable price. Please order.

Based on the book "My Depression, A Graphic Memoir” by Elizabeth Swados. It was on HBO for 4 years and now this animated film featuring the voices of Sigourney Weaver, Steve Buscemi, Fred Armisen and Dan Fogler is available for purchase.
For anyone who has depression or who knows someone with depression it is an opportunity to see that you are not alone!

"(A) half-hour gem. As charming and whimsical a discussion of depression as you’re likely to find. It’s honest and forthright as it talks about a condition often misunderstood and misrepresented."
– New York Times

"Uses animation and music to tell successful composer Liz Swados' personal journey through the darkness of depression and then her recovery and healing process. Every individual experience may differ but the film hopes to impart the message that those suffering from depression are not alone, and while things may seem hopeless, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel."
–The Jed Foundation

"Recommended. Humor and music lighten the serious message without seeming trivial, and the realistically hopeful outcome will comfort viewers facing similar challenges. Teens battling depression and anxiety will be comforted by this sympathetic program."
–Booklist (ALA)

"The approach might sound weirdly lighthearted, but it manages to stir a sense of empathy while packing in a lot of information about a disease that, according to the National Institute of Mental Health, afflicts 7 percent of adults."
– Chicago Tribune

"Through inventive animation and music, My Depression explores Swados’s lifelong struggle with depression and her efforts to keep her ‘cloud,’ as she calls it, at bay. Why, when so many people suffer from anxiety, depression, and a host of other emotional situations, is it still talked about openly so little? Swados is out to change that with her short documentary, by addressing those ups and downs, and ultimately My Depression makes one feelto embrace all that life has to offer."

We directed the #1 series back in 2004 and animated the pilot for #2. Nice to be remembered...sort of. It's actually a nice blurb. Kudos to creators Jeff Olsen and Chris Kelly.

The good, the bad and the downright bizarre hidden treasures of Adult Swim.

This is a great little film from a couple of talented Pixar guys who both once interned for WM Animation. Way to go Lou and Andrew!
