Hello everyone. I want to share my perspective on new business responses in light of the current state of our economy and the events industry. I have sent out some inquiries for various venues in the past week. I have received some very appropriate responses showing personal interest and some - what I would say are not in line with the current state of our industry. We all know that calls are down. Clients are worried about scheduling, worried about the economy, and wondering when Covid is going to raise its ugly head again (as if it has gone away! I posted something to this subject and my perspective on it - on LinkedIn a few weeks ago. In a nutshell, the days of set packages are not going to work. At least not with my clients. If I send an inquiry, I expect someone to ask for a call to discuss the clients needs. When I get a response back that is clearly a standard email with packages, minimums, and other restrictions, it sets a negative tone. Yes, maybe your property or service was in high demand a year ago, I doubt that is still the case. It is time to change the tone and focus on customer service FIRST. Again, just my opinion, but now is the time for flexibility and a true interest in what the clients want and need. If it doesn't work, then at least we tried. Just my two cents. And thank you to those who responded personally to my inquiries. It is going a long way!

First, we hope you and your family are doing well. We have spent the last few weeks helping our clients postpone and rework their contracts. I am happy to say that with our relationships with our vendors and partners, industry experience and travel communications coming in; we have been successful in helping our clients navigate these very uncertain times.
Second, We are making changes to our web site, LinkedIn and here on Facebook as well. There are many opportunities worldwide for future bookings. We will do our best to communicate them in as timely a manner as feasible.

Please stay safe and healthy. There are better times ahead! We’re in this together!

I am going to start today giving ideas to help businesses, companies and people that know they will be hosting celebrations in the future with ideas as I see opportunities!
#1 - many restaurants are offering gift cards that help their employees. I am seeing anywhere from 50-100% of the gift card purchase go towards helping their employees. So if you have the funds set aside for a meeting, forum event or retreat - consider planning now! If you need ideas let me know!
