Loud Family Santa Barbara-based post-punk-Prince-y band Loud Family, active in the '80s, with name borrowed from life goes, and went, on. thank you for checking in.

Loud Family:

1) : the infamous Santa Barbara-based family seized upon by pioneering cinema verite-slinging documenatarians, creating a ground-breaking early '70s PBS series on an actual, living, breathing, non-acting (well, not yet) family up in Mission Canyon, destined for posterity. Lance, Bill, Pat, Grant, Michelle, and the others... gotta love 'em.

2) a Santa Barbara-based '80s band for the

ages.First, a band featuring brothers Joe and David Woodard, bassist-singer and epic coif-bearer Anita Visser and drummer extraordinaire Tom Lackner. Next up: singer-guitarist-vibe-maestra Cara Tower joins the ranks, replacing the rat-keeping David . They sang song of the pop, rock, funk, and etcetera variety, played at venues including the mythic club Joseppi's, cut some demos and hope to make a record.... which never quite comes to pass.
