Hey! The Heinz Endowments has generously funded the Documentary Salon, working with Steeltown Entertainment, to continue its operations and to produce a special event nicknamed Cops and Cameras. This event, scheduled for sometime in 2021 (insha allah), will explore how camera of all types have affected policing, community relations, and justice. it will also bring a little-known documentary series about the Pittsburgh Police to a local audience. I'm so happy about this, and thankful to the Endowments' Small Arts Initiative program!

Salonline: Wednesday, June 24 8-9p. Watch the film (free on HBO) and join the Zoom discussion.

A theater company rehearses Macbeth. A documentary film crew follows them during the rehearsal process. Occasionally the actors become lost in Shakespeare’s world. This blend of intense drama, dance and humor is a refreshing take on Shakespeare’s classic text.
