The Next Great Drummer contest/search was created by Eric Seats and Chrystal Allen-O’Jon in 2008 with a passionate interest in sharing the joy and excitement found in drums, and a keen desire to strengthen and reinforce the rhythmic foundation that our global music culture is built upon. It is the Great Drummers of the world that set the tempo, keep the time, and propel the music that we all love

and cherish so deeply.
