Wow!

I’m honored to be named one of “Nashville’s 2025 Artists, Songwriters and Producers to Watch” from

Being recognized in this town chock full of talented folks is something I truly cherish. I have no secret other than obeying what the Good Lord puts in your heart and trusting the process to see it all through no matter the obstacles placed before you.

My projects, like most I’m sure, are passion projects, the ones I want to help create change and opportunities to help others.

I’m nowhere near where I want or aim to be, but I sure am closer than I was yesterday, last week or last year. There is where the lesson remains. Follow your heart and surrounding yourself with those who value the mission.

Thank You Lord for all You provide.

Some days are just better than others.

Can’t believe my Tater Tot Man is done with 5th grade and my oldest son is graduating high school.

Either they are growing up quick or I’m aging quicker or a combo of it all.

Whatever it is Lord, I’m thankful beyond measure for my greatest blessings and these moments with them.

Thank you for sparing my life to be the father to them I didn’t have.

Boys, your daddy loves you the mostest! Now give this world all you got.

Overcoming shame and guilt is possible with Christ’s help. He has paid the price for our sins, even the worst sins that cause us to feel guilt and shame. 1 John 1:9 says when we confess our sins, he forgives us and purifies us. This means we do not need to let shame and guilt control us. Rather, we can embrace forgiveness and our identity and worth in Christ.

Here are a few helpful tools we have in the battle against shame and guilt:

Prayer: When we are stuck in the cycle of guilt and shame, we can go to God in prayer. He can provide us with peace that we cannot attain on our own. Even when we do not see it, He is at work in our lives.
God’s Word: If we are struggling to have confidence in the forgiveness we have been given, we can turn to Scripture and read the many passages God’s Word has about salvation, forgiveness and assurance.
Other People: We may also want to seek outside counsel, such as a loved one, mentor, mental health professional, etc., if we need wisdom on how to reduce toxic shame or guilt and change any destructive behaviors we may have.
Dwelling on Truth: Philippians 4:8 tells us to think about things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable and praiseworthy. We can choose to dwell on what we know is true, such as God tells us about our value in the Bible. We may also want to reduce things around us that invoke feelings of shame. For example, taking time off social media or switching up our routine can be beneficial

Yep…the Lord is cutting the grass and exposing the snakes.

All I can say is “you should have seen it in color.”

Pick apart your brothers and sisters. Keep tearing each other down. Keep believing your way is the only way. Keep believing what you’re told. Keep doing what they want. Keep dividing. Keep hating. Keep stressing. Keep up all the anger, frustration, and negativity you want.

I choose a different path. I don’t believe in fear because I walk with the Lord. I walk in faith knowing I have been prepared for these times through my own hardships just like all of you.

It may not be the God you worship and I’m good with that because I don’t expect you to understand my relationship to the higher power to which I have given my problems to and has built my faith through testimony.

We don’t have to agree on which God to worship if one at all or which political party we align our beliefs with, but the one absolute is we are all here together. You, me, everyone we all know and the ones don’t are all here together.

We spend a great deal of time picking ourselves a part of then it’s reflecting it upon our friends, family, and strangers. The anger has won. The lesson lost.

Be above the trap of division. We are brothers and sisters one way or another. We all travel on the same rock hurdling through space at the same time in the same galaxy in the same universe yet the simplest things let us lose focus of the one simple fact we are all blessed to have this day.

We have forgotten the way. We are now misled through propaganda and hidden agendas. They are winning.

Put down the emotion of your preconceived notions and like any good decision sleep on it with a full belly.

Like it or not, no matter what your color, s*x, religion or any other descriptive, we are all in this together. We all owe it to those who come after us to leave this place better than we found it.

Stay blessed by staying grateful.
One life. One love.
I love you happy and angry! Be you and let your brothers and sisters be themselves. Make no mistake about it we are rowing the same boat and it’s all in color.
