Continuing the process to get some mobile drive-in shows up and running this year. Going through the permitting and other process that go along with it all. I’m still looking for all your suggestions on places to set up. Like parks, event spaces, farms, campgrounds, ect.
My immediate focus will be the Catawba valley area (Burke, Catawba, Caldwell and McDowell counties) but I will explore other opportunities in western North Carolina. Leave your suggestions in the comments and/or tag them!

Good morning WNC! The big news has finally arrived! It’s been a journey with ups and downs! But guess what the big delivery came in and after some finagling it’s all here!

So at last; here’s the news for those who haven’t been told!!!!

The View will officially be starting in the coming months (my intention is for January-March) for the first drive-in movie and showing since the 80s here in Burke county.

And also a personal note from me as well;
I’m excited and terrified at the same time to get this thing I’ve worked on for 3+ years started. And buying this top of the line portable equipment was not the way I envisioned it in the beginning or even most of the way through the process. However the opportunity presented itself and I took it to get everything started. This is just the beginning and it gives me many options and opportunities to work with and build/scale up or worst case it not work out and I turn around and resell the equipment (but I got a feeling yall won’t let that happen😉)

It has been a good while since my last post on here. So heres an update!!

I am still moving forward with the drive-in plans!!! As of now I am evaluating and working on 3-4 different scenarios on ways to get you all movies and events under the stars! There have been bumbs in the road and some time where I have taken a small step back from the process . But I’m am still here and building the best view you’ll ever see! I can’t wait for everyone to see!

The drive-in family lost a beautiful soul today. As I’ve worked on opening a drive-in I have met some completely amazing people and Nora was nothing short of completely amazing. The drive-in family across the nation has been rippled with this sudden passing. Send your waves of love and support towards Harvest Moon Twin Drive-in Theatre and their family in this time. 💔💔

Two more days of learning, growing and relationships with another drive-in! For the past two days I’ve been up in Virginia at Moonlite Drive-In Theatre & Venue as they have installed a brand new laser projector as they gear up to open later this summer.
Seeing a projector put in and going through the training with them as well was super fun and invaluable! AND MANNN LOOOKKKKK AT THAT PICTURE!!!!

It’s been awhile since you all last heard from me. I’m putting you to the test; who’s still with me?! Since the campaign failure I’ve really started to dig even deeper than before to keep pushing forward. Nothing is gonna stop me!

I’ve been working in a 12 week business cohort with Business Showers where I have been selected as one of the nationwides finalists to take part in the program. Within the program there is a community vote where you can vote for me for $2 a vote to help push me to get a business shower in July! I would get a portion of the proceeds and the program supporting entrepreneurs nationwide gets the rest.

Happy April. Just an announcement after get back home and settled after all the conferences and meetings over the past 2 weeks.

The March kickstarter campaign was not a success. And that’s okay! While It may slow me down I learned a lot from a failure and I really spread the word around a lot more places. This is only a bump in the road. I will continue to move forward with what I have and be grateful for where I am. And I’ll continue to push forward with the project! Time is on my side!! Thank you all for your support!
