I get asked often how soon is too soon to pack up the holidays. Usually I say it’s a personal preference.

BUT I am changing my mind the older I get.

The hustle has calmed. The bustle has loosened. How is the time to slow.

Sit in front of hour tree. Light the holiday candle. Put on the fuzzy socks. Keep the Christmas PJs on. Fall asleep with a book in your hands. Watch the hallmark movies. Play the new board games. Graze all the goodies.

It’s a season. Not one day. Give yourself some margin. There is always time to clean it all up + put it all away.

AND my final word…there is no such thing as having “it” together and perfection is a word not a real thing.
