If you have joined us at any point over the last school year for any of the Teen Group activities we would like to invite you to join us this Friday for an end of School Blow-out! We will be going to Badin Lake to a private resort. We are grilling food & swimming in the lake.It's always great fun!!

Kids Run/Teen Group Lake Day!!! PLEASE RSVP ASAP!

Friday, June 3, 2016. Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the former Troutman's Barbecue on Highway 601 in Concord or at the Hardee's in Mount Pleasant at 10:20 a.m. and we will caravan from there. Gerry will be leaving no later than 5:00 p.m.

Using the funds collected from Kid Run, Gerry will provide:

Hamburgers with buns & Hot dogs with buns.

Hoping some of you will provide:
Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions (chopped), Cheese, Watermelon, Potato salad, Macaroni salad

EVERYONE PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS

We are not currently meeting because we have lost our meeting location. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. We are still willing to get together & do things if anyone else wants to.

Hi All! We are supposed to meet this evening for our "First Monday of the Month" meeting. However, we have not heard from anyone saying they are definitely planning on coming. If you are planning on coming to join us please RSVP ASAP! If we don't hear from anyone one saying yes, they are going to definitely be there, we will have to cancel.

This is the page for the Homeschool Teens in Cabarrus Co. & the surrounding area. We having meetings on the 1st & 3rd. Mondays (subject to change, please see Events for more info) of each month plus we will be hosting other events throughout the year such as Costume Parties, Service Projects, Movie Nights, Field Trips, & eventually a Prom.

It is FREE to join our group. We will try hard to keep it FREE! We will, on occasion, ask that you bring a snack or drink to share or help out in some small way as to not put the entire burden of the group on a select few.

We want this group to fill a "need" in the Homeschool community for Socialization, Field Trips, and Service Projects directed at & for Teens in the Greater Cabarrus County area. If you are a Homeschooler, age 12 - 18 & live in Cabarrus County or the surrounding area you are welcome to join us.

Since we are just getting started, if you have ideas as to how to make this a GREAT Teen group we welcome your input.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy being part of please feel free to come out & join us at our next event. We look forward to meeting & getting to know you!

We were supposed to have our First of the month meeting tonight. However, due to a death in the family of the host family we will not be meeting tonight at the house. Instead we are going to see the new Chipmunks movie at the Carolina Mall Cinema for the 4:55pm showing. We will be there at 4:45pm to meet with everyone first.

If you have never been to our group & want to meet with us informally to check us out first this would be a good time to join us.

Merry Christmas EVERYONE!

Well, we realize that it is the week before Christmas & there is so much to do but we are thinking of doing something "Christmasy" one night this week. We have a couple of things to choose from: 1) Loading up some vans & SUVs (parents driving) with teens & driving to McAdenville to see the Christmas lights display, getting out & walking around in down town McA. & drinking some hot chocolate.
2) Getting a group of the teens together to go Christmas Caroling, either in a neighborhood pre-approved by the parents or an Elderly Care Facility, or the like.
3) Go to Village Park in Kannapolis & ride the Christmas train, see Santa & the lights on display there. This is the only one with a cost. The train is $2 per person to ride. They also sell hot chocolate & s'mores fixin's.

We can do any one or a combo of these events but we want to know which thing/things appeals to you the most & that you would definitely attend. So please let us know ASAP!

The costume party was a big hit! We had a great time! Looking forward to doing it again next year!

CCHTG will be having regular meetings on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month.

Next meeting: FREE Movie Night!

When: Monday, Nov. 16 @ 7pm

Where: 1300 East 1st Street, Kannapolis, NC

Movie: TBD

Food/snack: We will be serving popcorn but feel free to bring something else if you like.

What to bring: (optional) something comfy to sit on (a blanket, bean bag chair, etc.) a snack to share (popcorn, pretzels, candy, cookies, whatever).

Age: 12+

This is a FREE group & most events will be free or cheap. We will provide the movie & popcorn for this event, SO…Bring your teen to join in the fun with other teens in the area. We have adult supervision at all meetings so feel free to drop them off & leave or stay & chat.

We hope to get a big group of teens to do fun things with in Cabarrus Co. & the surrounding area. We would like to not only do fun events but also do service projects & go on Field Trips.
