I’m Yvette, the youngest of three girls, and the voice behind our Facebook fan page. My mother, Sandy Wilson, is the boss and an amazing seamstress who has been sewing most of her life and has great talent. She purchased her first embroidery machine so she could make personalized gifts for her grandchildren and baby gifts for people at her work who started requests for homemade gifts. She started
out making everything for free, but the demand soon became too great, and she could no longer afford to do that. As U Wish, our business, was born. Sandy sews on a regular basis to keep up with the constant flow of orders. You may ask how we came up with our business name. My father, Gary, suggested to call the business "As U Wish" because of my strong passion for the movie, The Princess Bride. I later added on our motto, "U Wish It, We Make It." He operates our website at www.asuwishcrafts.com, creates some of our embroidery designs, and keeps us up to date with technology. I was added to the business sometime after the birth of my first of three daughters about fifteen years ago. I started getting requests for the hair bows I made for my daughters. But I am easily distracted and now make a wide variety of things. Not only do I help out with the sewing when I find time, I do most of the photos/edits and posts to our fb business page. Heres a list of the things I offer, as follows: crochet as well as crochet patterns; painting; polymer clay work; wood burning or pyrography, and some basic woodworking creations; etc. I feel I’m forgetting something. I’m always up to learn something new! We welcome new ideas, challenges and suggestions.
