Predator is a 1987 American science fiction action film directed by John McTiernan and written by brothers Jim and John Thomas. It is the first installment in the Predator franchise. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite paramilitary rescue team on a mission to save hostages in guerrilla-held territory in a Central American rainforest, who encounter the deadly Predator (Kevin Peter Hall), a technologically advanced alien who stalks and hunts them down.
Predator was written in 1984 under the working title of Hunter. Filming ran from March to June 1986 with creature effects devised by Stan Winston; the budget was around $15 million. 20th Century Fox released the film on June 12, 1987, in the United States, where it grossed $98.3 million. Initial reviews were mixed, but the film has since been reappraised as a classic of the action genre.
The success of Predator spawned a media franchise of films, novels, comic books, video games, and toys. It spawned three direct sequels: Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018), and an upcoming installment in preproduction. A crossover with the Alien franchise produced the Alien vs. Predator films, which include Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007).

Riddick is a 2013 science fiction action film written and directed by David Twohy, based on the character Richard B. Riddick by Jim and Ken Wheat. It is the third installment in The Chronicles of Riddick film series and a sequel to both Pitch Black (2000) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004). Vin Diesel reprises his role as the eponymous character alongside Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo, and Karl Urban. In the film, notorious murderer Riddick is betrayed and left for dead on a desolate planet and uses his instincts to survive. He eventually teams up with mercenaries arriving to capture him to escape from a larger threat. Riddick was released in the United States on September 6, 2013. Critics considered it a return to form for the series and it became a moderate box-office success compared to its predecessor. A fourth film, entitled Riddick: Furya, is in development.

The trailer for “WRONG TURN 9” (2025) begins with a familiar sense of foreboding, capturing a lone car driving through dense, isolated woods on a narrow, winding road. The sun is setting, casting long shadows that dance ominously across the asphalt. A radio crackles with static before a voice warns of strange disappearances in the area, hinting that something sinister awaits those who venture too far off the beaten path.

As the music turns darker, the camera cuts to a group of friends inside the car, laughing and unaware of the danger that lies ahead. Their banter quickly turns tense as they realize they’ve taken a wrong turn, leading them deep into an uncharted part of the forest. The road becomes rougher, and they eventually stumble upon an eerie, abandoned settlement hidden among the trees.

The trailer’s atmosphere shifts, with quick cuts showing the group exploring the creepy, decaying structures. The tension mounts as they discover unsettling signs of recent activity—makeshift traps, grotesque totems made of bone and flesh, and the remnants of previous victims who weren’t so lucky.

ALADDIN 2 (2024)

Aladdin is a 2019 American musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Guy Ritchie, from a script he co-wrote with John August, it is a live-action/CGI adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated film of the same name, which itself is based on the eponymous tale from One Thousand and One Nights. The film stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar, as well as the voices of Alan Tudyk and Frank Welker, the latter of whom reprises his roles from all previous media. The plot follows Aladdin, a street urchin, as he falls in love with Princess Jasmine, befriends a wish-granting Genie, and battles the wicked Jafar.

In October 2016, Disney announced Ritchie would direct a live-action Aladdin remake. Smith was the first member of the cast to join, signing on to portray Genie in July 2017, and Massoud and Scott were confirmed for the two lead roles later that month. Principal photography began that September at Longcross Studios in Surrey, England, also filming in the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan, and lasted until January 2018. Additional filming and pick-ups took place in August 2018.

Aladdin was theatrically released in the United States on May 24, 2019. It grossed over $1 billion worldwide, making it the ninth highest-grossing film of 2019. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its music, costume design, and the performances of Smith, Massoud, and Scott, but criticism for Ritchie's direction, the CGI, and Kenzari's characterization of Jafar. A sequel is in development.
