Here is where you'll see the pieces I am working on, so come in, take a look around & let me know what you think. From the mind of a Madman comes the creation of dreams to reality. Wooden hammers, shields, leather goods, bone handled knives and sword; along with other random items now and again. I do not make the blades (yet) for the swords or knives, I do however give the blade blanks I acquire a

new look using wood and bone to complete them. I also dabble in resin casting and wand making, walking staffs have been known to be created from time to time as well. Mostly I try to create the things which pop in to my head or haunt my dreams from time to time. Stop in, take a look, if you find something you fancy, ask about it, some times the things I finish get stowed away on a shelf. (Update: Recent years I have had a decline in health, that and time, I do not produce a quarter of what I use to and some items have been stopped all together. Most of what I post now is what I have time for, and those items tend to go to a vendor who is kind enough to try and sell those items in their shop. The rest are items I put off making for myself, and now I am tying to get them done. Do come look, enjoy, comment and see the items that still come from the now aged mind of a Madman.

The Sheath is the Deepeeka sheath the Cutlass originally came with, I did nothing to the sheath. I only removed the old handle and basket hardware and reimagined it in my own handle and guard design. The Saber guard was an Etsy purchase for this project.

Jumping around a few projects. Back to the Cutlass rebuild. I applied the leather and felt spacers on the guard, and now I just cut to size and test fitted the handle in place. I had to make a few minor adjustments, but pleased with progress so far.

Did some work on the handle pieces, the shop in the basement is a bit cooler than the house. Just dry fitted the handle...

Working on a knife project, utilizing a specific Wolf Head pommel. Putting it on the antler end the handle. Blade end will be purpleheart. I shaped the antler end with a Dremel using several different Dremel heads and then added a furniture nail to act as an anchor point for when I use epoxy to connect the pommel to the antler.
So far progress has been good, slow and steady, but good. pictures below of the progress.

I picked this axe up from Darksword Armory from their Sales bucket. They described it as having a slightly loose head, some scratches and the stain job was not up to their standards.
I liked the axe head a lot from the moment I saw it, so I rescued it.
When I received it, it was packaged lovely, securely, and from the moment I finally got it unwrapped my eyes went wide and I knew what I wanted to do.
I have not been able to get the head to wiggle but I am also not aiming to use it. I removed the leather lacing it came with, and striped most of the old stain away.
I used black cherry stain on it to refresh it, and thought green might look good on her. I was relieved there was no mechanical adjustments needed, and that she only required a new dressing to spruce her up.
As of this writing, I need to make a blade cover (she is sharp), and then find a place to display her in the house. Pictures are below, as well as the picture from the Darksword Armory sales page for remembrance of what she looked like before I got her.

Within the mess on the worktable is almost all the pieces for the new project getting started. The blade is a Deepeeka blade, i bought their Cutlass off of a website, removed the basket, handle and pommel it came with and will be doing my own design for the guard, handle and pommel.
