The Tang Soo Do programs include Little Dragons 3-5 year olds, Future Black Belts, Family Program, and Mom-Fu! Tang Soo Do: Karate for Christ is owned and operated by Dr. Michelle Worth, 5th Dan in Tang Soo Do and 1st Dan in Tae Kwon Do. It is affiliated with Karate for Christ International. It provides a safe environment for students of all ages. It provides optimal learning by the instructor th
rough belt ranks. Each rank consists of forms, one-step sparring, self-defense, and memorization. Since it is a Christian-based program, memorization of most belt ranks focus on Bible scripture. There are different programs that potential students can sign up for. They are Little Dragons (3-5 year olds), Future Black Belts(6 and up), and the Family Program (family discount). I also have Mom-Fu Women's Self-Defense of the first Saturday of the month. We have various activities for youth including pizza parties, movie nights, and summer programs. This is important because it keeps youth off the streets and in a safe, controlled environment. We are also active in fundraising to get our students to tournaments. We are active with the community in donating food, clothes, and time to nonprofit organizations. We hold Kick-A-Thons to raise money for St. Jude and other nonprofits. My vision of the Tang Soo Do Program is to ultimately decrease at-risk behaviors of youth and adults by providing a safe environment where everyone can grow in a positive way. In fact, one could consider the student creed as an in-depth description of the vision. The student creed is as follows:
I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and to avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health. I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others. I intend to use what I learn in class, constructively and defensively, to help myself and my fellow man, and never to be abusive or offensive. This is a black belt school! We are dedicated! We are on a quest to be our best!
