We can’t get enough of the art from of the characters and event cards, so we’ll be highlighting some of them during the campaign!
Cicero was an accomplished orator, senator, and statesman. He was an idealist who believed in order and elections and the rule of law, and his writings are some of the most important in Roman history. A feud with Antony and a betrayal by Octavian led to his ultimate demise, but he will forever be immortalized in Roma XLI!
The event cards and character medallions are Kickstarter-exclusive items that add an extra level to gameplay. Today’s would be one of Cicero’s favorites: Election Day! During the round it is active it forces players to play all face-down cards in front of other players for the entire round. Election Day encapsulates much of what we try to accomplish with all of our Dark Cities games: cross-table interaction and dependence on others...until the right moment to make your big move and take the game.
