I'm a struggling Christian filmmaker. I'm not the best nor am I the worst. I am one of many. As the days get more crazy, my temptation is to walk away. To stop and find a "real" job as I have a family and all. I will be honest, this is very tough. I want to provide, but also feel a crushing burden to tell stories that show people Christ. It seems more and more that the 2 don't go together...at least not for me. I would love to find a likeminded business partner who shares similar views on theology and wants to "go into all the world" using film, but alas not sure that person exists (if you do exist, hit me up lets talk. Just to make sure you know where I stand, I'm a huge MacArthur guy, Strangefire Conference, and really want to put strong hermeneutics into film, ). I'm tired of the same old films getting made and marketed that don't really attract more people but seem to pacify the same audience. I want to see Biblically grounded films that explore all genres. I'm not looking for more "inspirational films" but films that feel inspired. I want films that are unapologetically Christian with TRUE Christian morals and values, but also bursting with creativity and imagination. There are some great films that have truly tired (See "The Red Herring" by Jon Kammeraad and "Disciples in the Moonlight" by Brett Varvel or "Vindication Series by Jarod O'Flaherty or "Guardians TV Series" by Chason Laing or "Case for Christ" "Essential Church" was amazing)
Alas, I am trying but....
