The City of Hurst does SUCH a great job of creating an atmosphere of community with the Hurst Tree Lighting event every year! I was talking to my kids in the car this morning and my daughter said that this event kicks off the Christmas season for her. I agree.

This year, they added an additional flipbook studio to the mix, and although it looked like a long line, I watched as guests zipped through through whole thing in 7-9 minutes at most! They got their annual flipbook as a family and were back out to the vendor area to buy personalized gifts, get pics with Santa, grab a bite to eat or hot cocoa at the food trucks, or slide down the snow hill. I LOVE seeing the many high school volunteers who make this such a special night! The night gets even better with 3-D glasses to watch the fireworks show and tree lighting!

It warmed my heart to hear about how families make this an annual tradition and have their flipbooks lined up from each year. One family places a string in between the pages and hangs their flipbooks as ornaments to flip through. What a creative idea!

We were too busy to get many pics, but here is what we got! Come see us next year!

🍁 We wrapped up the busy fall season with a beautiful wedding for Gabriella + Giovanni! What a gorgeous couple who made everyone feel like family. Gaby had our flipbooks at her prom many years ago and told her mom she wanted them at her wedding. Everyone wanted to jump in with the bride and groom to make their own flipbook keepsake, including the photographer who was hilarious! The tables turned and Gaby and Gio took photos of her with such a funny ending pose! 😂 At the end of the night, we handed the couple a bag of flipbooks and a Keepsake USB with all of the videos of their friends and family having a blast. We wish you both a beautiful life together! 🥰

Congratulations to Allison and Garrett on your marriage! The Force is strong with this couple. 🥰 You could physically feel the love in the room! They are surrounded by so many people who support them on this next step in their lives. We were honored to be a part of this joyous occasion smd give them and their guests a memorable keepsake to take home. 💙

Wow!! Congratulations to Siyona on her Sweet Sixteen! This was a STUNNING celebration including multiple outfit changes, touching ceremonies, performances by friends and relatives, a culinary experience that reached halfway across the ballroom, decor to transport you into an enchanted forest, our very own I Love Flipbooks studio and a 360 photo booth. We were honored to be a part of this touching event!

We’ve worked many parties in the Atrium of The Star in Frisco, but last night, one of our holiday parties was on the field! So fun! Thank you, Tempo, for including us in your end-of-the-year Christmas celebration! 🎄

We are in full swing for the holiday season with the flipbook studio! Last night was a very sweet volleyball banquet for Colleyville Heritage at the elegant Bowden in Keller. Literally, the entire room was filled with gorgeous, tall people! 😍 We love working sports, cheer and choir banquets. There’s just something special about the bond between students who wake up early, work hard and join together as a team to accomplish big goals. Thank you for bringing us in to make some sweet memories for this team and their parents!

I overheard the gorgeous bride last night tell a friend that she had originally seen our flipbook at her prom. Being in business for 18 years sure does bring some sweet stories about how people find out about us. 💕

Last night was definitely a celebration to remember. Brittani and Hunter were surrounded by a room full of people who loved them and supported this marriage. Emerald City Band kept the dance floor packed, with guests taking breaks to get a drink and come make flipbooks.

At the end of the evening, I looked at the very front of the dance floor and saw the bride’s dad. Everyone around him was jumping around and dancing to the music, but he stood still and slowly turned around in a full circle. It was like a movie when the world is in full motion, but the character spins around in slow motion. You could tell that he was simply trying to absorb the momentous occasion and try to capture this moment in time into his memory. The band pumping energy into the crowd, his daughter and her new husband dancing beside him, being surrounded by the people who were most important to him in this world. ❤️

And I got choked up if I’m being honest. Not enough people stop and take a moment to look around in the middle of a wedding. It all goes by so quickly. From a parent’s perspective, this is the end of raising a child and the beginning of a new family. It’s a celebration with your tribe, the people who have been with you through thick and thin. What a beautiful moment in time to savor! I’m so glad I caught a glimpse of it.
