Gator 2- Texas A&M Corps of Cadets

Gator 2- Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Squadron 2 Squadron 2, better known as Gator 2, was originally founded in 1960. Squadron 2 is also known as the "Country Club".

It is the oldest existing outfit in the Wing, and the second oldest outfit in the Corps. Cecil, the Gator Mascot, appears over the outfit motto "Easy Come, Easy Go" on the outfit sign, which symbolizes the philosophy of all Gators, past and present. Gator 2 has a long history of excellence and has consistently been placed among the top outfits of the Corps for Military Bearing, Scholastics, and At

hletics. Gator 2 has had some very colorful as well as distinguished members pass through it's ranks. The camaraderie, spirit, and pride can be traced to those "early Gators" who lit the torch that all Gators carry today. Fall 2021 PR Link:

Howdy Gators! Introducing our next GOTW: Mr.
Will McDaniel ‘26!!

🐊 Mr. McDaniel is an Air Force Contract, majoring in Anthropology, from Arlington, TX.

🐊 Mr. McDaniel currently serves as the Training Officer for Gator 2 and a Platoon Sergeant in the Ross Volunteer Company.

🐊 In a few short weeks, Mr. McDaniel will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant, 13N Nuclear and Missile Operations Officer in the Air Force!

🐊 In his free time, Mr. McDaniel loves hiking, backpacking, running, video games, traveling, eating! 🥾🏔️🏃🏻🗺️⛺️🎮🍕

🐊 Mr. McDaniel’s favorite thing about Gator 2 is that”We PT hard and not take all of it too seriously while still being able to cultivate a culture where we can develop humble leaders. Also just living every moment with surrounded by my friends literally a door away.”

Congratulations to the six Gators of the class of 2025 who graduated this past week. Four of these graduates commissioned into the U.S. Air Force and one commissioned into the U.S. Space Force!
