After receiving a verbal reprimand for his attempts to undermine filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz and employ deceitful tactics, Ric Mathis made the decision to retract Shabazz's invitation to speak at the premiere of 'B1 The Movie.' Notably, Shabazz not only holds a significant role in the documentary but also shouldered the majority of the work, investing countless hours in capturing footage, conducting interviews, and dedicating thousands more to the editing process. Mathis went to extraordinary lengths to diminish Rahiem Shabazz's stature, even going so far as to expunge Shabazz's name from the cast member list.
