Sometimes itā€™s hard to come up with a stitch marker to go with the ā€œBlind Date with Yarnā€ releases.

But, this one was a lot of fun and super obvious.

I saw this charm and knew it was Wilbur from ā€œCharlotteā€™s Webā€.

This can be the hardest part of making my Blind Date with Yarn boxes: the bookmark.

Iā€™m not very good at drawing, so I have to rely on whatā€™s available to me in the Cricut creative center.

Hours of scrollingā€¦.

Resizingā€¦.

Test cutsā€¦.

And starting over from scratchā€¦.

All to create this: a custom bookmark for all those who purchase the highest tier of my BDwY!

For the main skein from Humble, I really wanted to lean into Wilbur and Charlotteā€™s friendship.

So, I create a skein of white and pink, inspired by a white pig.

Then I added black speckles for Charlotte.

The result is pretty stunning if I say so myself.

Time to reveal Juneā€™s ā€œBlind Date with Yarnā€!

This color set was inspired by ā€œCharlotteā€™s Webā€!

The main skein is inspired by Wilbur and Charlotteā€™s friendship.

The matching mini-skeins are meant to evoke a bright sunny morning on the farm, when people discovered Charlotteā€™s writing.

The stitch marker had to be Wilbur!

And I chose to recreate one of the first writings for the bookmark.

Finally, Claire from Litt Wick Candle Co. nailed it with the candle: it smells exactly like a farm!
