Each member of Thingergy brings enough technical and practical experience to the table that, all combined, they could fill at least a bar napkin with information. Some more pictures of the molding and casting process for the silicone model kit we built.
Molds were mostly done as box-molds like we do for a lot of the props we make. It’s a little uncommon in the FX industry, but works great for speed and alignment. The main body section had to be done a little different so we could flex the spine cavity out. We used rebound 25 for most of them, and (I think) dragon skin fx pro backed with 8lb flexfoam for the castings.

One of the many rad things we got to help build on Frankenstein was this bent over body. We started with 3d scanning a person, and molding his hands and feet. Then we printed out the body a did a clay pour. and cleaned up the sculpture, and it was molded and cast in silicone. The body then got handed over to where he painted it and added additional gory bits to the opening and all the finishing touches.

We just finished delivering an amazing project!
This one is completely different than anything we have done before. We just built 57 new dining room tables for the world famous . Over the past few months our team has been cutting, sanding and finishing nearly 7000 pieces of inlay. The big round table had 675 alone!
We chose walnut for the main parts, a the inlay was wenge, purple heart and ebony, all provided by here in Burbank. As always, thanks to the amazing team here in the shop , ( .psyfi .co ) and the especially awesome .

Here’s one of the RAD things we got to build for Frankenstein! We made the frozen horse and rider. We did some maquettes and anatomy studies to get the pose and look nailed down. did the 3d for the horse, and did the clay maquette early on in the process. The horse was mostly 3d printed and reinforced inside with epoxy and fiberglass. Then we painted it and added the snow and ice. Thanks to the crew on this build-

Our artists at Thingergy are basically honorary Hyperion employees at this point. We meticulously brought the world of Borderlands 4 into real life, one GIANT statue at a time, for the world premier launch last month. So. Many. Glowy bits.

Honestly, building the massive statues for the Borderlands 4 launch is just fun, even on a crazy timeline, when you have a crew this good. The best part? When the team knows their stuff this well, hitting those tight deadlines just becomes the standard. Easy work when you're working with the best here at Thingergy.

The team at Thingergy put every ounce of love, sweat, and maybe a little bit of Eridium into crafting the Borderlands 4 statues that have already made their way around the world! The details and the sheer SCALE of these things are insane. We are no stranger to giant statues (this is our second rodeo of BL statues), and each one provides new challenges each time.
