Is this an over-the-top geek-out over a comment from Mel Robbins? Absolutely. Are we a small (but mighty!) caramel company with a deeply uncool response to being noticed by someone we admire? Also yes.

Turns out, we really enjoy nerding out on corporate gifting stats. Who knew?

One that stopped us: 59% of corporate gift recipients said they’d rather receive nothing than a gift that feels generic.

Oof.

So we went down the rabbit hole. What do clients actually want? What makes a gift memorable? Does giving back matter? There’s actual research on all of it.

We gathered the good stuff (and added a few things we’ve learned after 25 years in the gifting business) right here.

Someone mentions holiday gifts in a meeting. Five minutes later, everyone’s asking: “What the heck are we going to send our clients this year?” Fast-forward 10 minutes and you’re 37 browser tabs deep.
