The film and video industry in 2015 contributed $100 billion to the U.S. GDP - and movies and TV shows generated an $11.9 billion trade surplus - according to figures from the Arts and Cultural Production Satellite Account (ACPSA), which is produced jointly by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis and the National Endowment for the Arts.
