Lefont Theaters Lefont Theaters was founded in 1976 in Atlanta, GA. Movie impressario and film historian George Lefont opened his first theater, THE SILVER SCREEN Oct. 1976.

Lefont Theaters was the first art, independent movie theater in Atlanta. We continue to be the only locally owned and operated neighborhood theater. Past Lefont's Theaters include:SCREENING ROOM, THE TARA, PLAZA, GARDEN HILLS, ANSLEY & TOCO HILLS and the MARIETTA STAR.
