Operating as usual

For those who watch the Office, then you will understand this film and the title we stole from Nick’s very triumphant declaration during his vows. Hilarious and yet it pretty much sums up this couple’s relationship in one simple statement. They are clearly madly in love with each other. And that’s not even the best part. The best part is that this couple worked effortlessly to plan their wedding during the time of Covid and what was once an option for what they thought would be the ideal venue for their wedding day, came to a crashing halt when their venue of choice pulled the plug. Why is that the best part? Well, disappointments can lead you to a treasure trove that you would have never known existed. The Galisteo Basin and Stay Kit Fox, became just that treasure. What would have been a simple guest arrive, watch the ceremony, have some cocktails, eat dinner, dance and then go home, became pack your bags, get your southwestern attire out, join us in the desert and sleep under the stars in the coolest glamping spot you’ve ever laid your eyes on. I mean, come on…this is waaaay better!! To have 20 of your closest friends and family, not only celebrate your day in such a unique and wonderful way, but then to turn it into a luxurious camping trip…ahh…this is my kind of wedding! Cassie and Nick are just the couple to handle such a fun and unique twist of events. Add this to their list of continued adventures and it brings this couple to the best day of their life. Cassie and Nick if this is a sneak peek into the fun your life together is about to bring, then buckle up because it’s going to be one exhilarating ride! Congratulations you two! XOXO

"It's Only Just Begun" Allie {+} Matt Mountain Top Wedding

Allie has that smile that lights up the room and Matt has that sense of humor that keeps you laughing all night! Together these two make that beautiful couple others are envious about. However, when you hang around them long enough, their love and passion is contagious! There is not a person who is not affected by the Allie and Matt spell of optimism, abundant joy, and true, beautiful love. Planning a wedding around Covid, had it’s stressful moments, I’m sure. There were loved one’s who could not attend, including Matt’s Brother who delivered his speech via a pre-recorded video message. As difficult as that was, Allie and Matt did not let it spoil their day and in some respects, the more intimate wedding suited the couple just fine. Surrounded by love and laughter of their immediate family members, this day will go down in history for this couple as one of the most impactful days of their lives. Allie and Matt, thank you for the lovely hospitality you bestowed on my team and for the opportunity to capture your magical day! We know you have a beautiful life in store for you and I can’t wait to see what the future brings you! XOXO Cheers!

"1, 2, 3, Cheers!" Adrian {+} Peter Santa Fe Wedding

Ahh, weddings in the time of COVID. This was our first wedding that we filmed during this crazy pandemic and I can’t even begin to imagine the stress couples have gone through while planning such a big event during this time. Through the multiple date changes, re-arranging venues and vendors, and the stress of having to cut down large guest lists to a few cherished 20, I don’t know how this couple did it but they did. Adrian and Peter is that couple, who are not going to let obstacles stand in their way! Nope, they were getting married and no virus or lock down was going to stop that. I admire their fight, their passion, their sense of calm and optimism and most importantly, their sense of humor through it all. After all, what can you do but grin and make the best of it! Actually, we have always found the smaller, more intimate weddings to be incredibly special. This wedding was exactly that. Peter joked through his toast that the 20 guest made the “cut” and that yes, they pulled it off despite the worries of many. Their sweet ceremony took place in the darling Loretto Chapel with a private reception in the stunning home of the bride’s family. The incredible sunset provided a warm and gorgeous glow as the guest sat down to a candlelit meal. Adrian and Peter, you definitely pulled off one beautiful wedding! We were honored to be a part of your special day and witness the joining of hands, hearts, and families. Thank you for the opportunity and we know you have a beautiful life in store for you both! XOXO Cheers!

"Safest Knot We're Ever Gonna Tie, Let's Check It Everyday" Marin {+} Nick

Let’s just stop and take a moment to prepare ourselves for some of the greatest vows you are ever going to hear! Ahhhh to be 20 something and soooo in love! Marin and Nick have set the bar real high and I must say, their love is incredibly contagious. Anyone who watches this film, will instantly reach out to their significant other and squeeze them a little tighter and hold them a little longer. This is the effect of Nick and Marin. Their laughter is contagious, their warmth, their personality and most importantly their love for Jesus! The story of how they met is adorable! Nick and Marin met at summer camp as camp counselors. Both of their hearts raced for each other, and yet both were unsure of what the other was feeling. After sharing a couple of REI mugs and lots of prayer, the two came together in “head over heals” relationship bliss. I happen to have a special friendship with the bride and when Marin asked us to film her wedding we were over the moon, shouting, YES!! I was so honored and so happy to have had such an amazing privilege as to watch these two beautiful people come together and pledge their love to one another. We couldn’t be more happy for you, Marin and Nick! I know the fun has just begun and I can’t wait to see all the many adventures waiting for you wherever you are! Hugs to you both!! XOXOXO

"Recognition" Nicole {+} Benjamin

For Ben and Nicole’s Wedding day edit, I went in a different direction. After perusing the couple’s wedding website, which I often do to get to know them better, I found this beautiful poem titled, “Recognition”, on one of their pages. This poem, written by Paul Kane, has a very special meaning to this couple. As Nicole said in her vows, when she met Benjamin, the ground literally moved under her feet. So, who could blame me for using it as my inspiration in the edit. And what better place to represent all that spoken about in this poem, but the natural elements that make up Los Poblanos Inn and Organic Farm. Needless to say, I think the ground moved all of us after listening to Ben’s tearful vows. Rainwater trickling….actually, lots of tears trickling for this one. Nicole and Ben, your relationship will move mountains and we are thrilled to have been part of your day! Congratulations to you both!! XOXOXO

“So What Are You Waiting For? Kiss Your Wife!” Nicole {+} Demetris Greek Wedding

Another beautiful, emotional, love filled and crazy good Greek Wedding! Oh how we love these! I mean take a few seconds to watch the beginning of this film for a peek inside their crazy fun reception and you will see why! Plate breaking, grown men dancing on top of tables and even a shirt coming off…But let’s be honest, anyone can have a great dance party, but what makes this one so endearing is the love and support of their church family and all of their closest friends. And…Nicole and Demetris were well surrounded by a TON of love. This couple is that couple that you want to be friends with. Their sweet personalities and genuine care for strangers they’ve just met would make anyone feel right at home. And we absolutely did! Having filmed Nicole’s brother’s wedding a few years before, we had already fallen in love with her family. Having this privilege to film her wedding was icing on the cake…oh yeah, did you see her cake!! GORGEOUS! What more can I say? We loved celebrating their day, watching their sweet glances at each other, observing how kind and loving they are to each other and learning about their love story. This story is going to be one to continue to follow. Their marriage is going to be a great example of what love is all about! We can’t wait to follow their story and keep up with all the good things that will happen with them in the many years to come. We love you Nicole and Demetris! Thank you again so much for giving us the honor of filming your crazy fun, beautiful and love filled wedding! XOXOXO

Take a peek at our EPIC ETHIOPIAN WEDDING in Norway!!! ADdis Tesfaye and Samson Mitiku's wedding was like no other! Just press play to see for yourself. Not only was it halfway across the world in the most breathtaking country God has ever created, but their love for our Heavenly Father was celebrated in a way we had never encountered before at a wedding. This day brought me back to my days in Ghana, West Africa when the village church services would start early evening and go all the way into the wee hours of the morning. Those nights/early morning services were filled with dancing, singing and praising on a level I had never before encountered. Samson and Addis' day was just like this and brought me right back to that moment. It was beautiful to see this newly wedded couple worshiping God with all their heart and praising Him for all the good things in their lives. This day was certainly something to give praise for. The next day, I stayed to film their traditional Ethiopian Melsi. The wedding party and guests dressed up in their traditional Ethiopian attire, enjoyed their traditional cuisine and celebrated the newlyweds with more beautiful singing and dancing. I was in heaven letting my camera roll and taking it all in. Then, Scott and I couldn't help ourselves but stayed a few days extra to travel around Norway, experiencing and capturing this amazing landscape to include in their video. Samson and Addis you both mean so much to Scott and I. We are so very grateful for the opportunity to put this film together for you. Thank you so much for your hospitality, kindness and for making us feel like family! We adore you both and can't wait to see all the goodness God has for your marriage! Love you both and believe me, next time we are in Norway we will be giving you a call ;) XOXOXO

Booked a new wedding in Norway this year!! It's been almost 3 years since we have been back. Although we are tempted to do the same route and see the same sights, we think we should make new memories so we are thinking of heading over to Sweden. Anyone have any tips on Sweden? 📷by Scott Kanafani during our Fjord excursion

“Marriage is not a Destination, it’s a Journey”

“Marriage Is A Journey, Not A Destination” Jenni {+} Simon Phoenix Wedding
It was round two for us with these two beautiful souls! We had the amazing honor of filming the proposal of Jenni Emanuel to Simon Emanuel a year before and now their wedding day! Even though these two live in Albuquerque, their wedding took place at the beautiful Ashley Castle in Chandler, AZ. It was in Arizona where they first met and it was in Arizona that they exchanged vows, exactly 9 years later. This couple is just so amazing, we were happy to make the trip out. At 38 weeks pregnant, I threw caution to the wind, packed up our gear with Scott and we headed over to Chandler as I could not miss their special day. The couple came together merging two cultures and even though they had a traditional American Wedding, they wanted to incorporate Simon’s Pakistani/Indian Culture and so on day two they had a Mehndi, Baraat and a small ceremony. We were honored to work alongside these amazing vendors!

We just LOVE this couple! Their beauty, grace and peaceful demeanor had us inspired by them all day! This day was a magical day for sure! The wind, although might have been a nuisance for some vendors to set up in, it sure did create some dramatic moments for us with this couple! Thank goodness Rachel wore her hair down and we were able to capture all of that beautiful movement from their wind tossed hair! Yup, we are pretty much in love with these two. Filmed on-site at the lovely Purple Adobe Lavender Farms and the amazing...and I do mean AMAZING, Inn of the Five Graces. This place is worth a trip alone to Santa Fe. It's on a whole other level! Thank you Ryan and Rachel for allowing us to be a part in such a special time of your lives! We are cheering you on as you walk down this life together, side by side!
