For the 2023 Nakabuhi Short Film Festival, the ten short film finalists will be screened and deliberated by among the most esteemed and renowned personalities in the film industry.

TITO GENOVA VALIENTE is a public anthropologist, film critic, and film educator. He is a columnist for Business Mirror, where he maintains two columns - one on cinema and another on societies and cultures. He is a member of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, the oldest and most prestigious film critics group in the country, which hands out annually the Gawad Urian.
ELVERT BAÑARES is a filmmaker, educator, and multidisciplinary artist whose films have been selected in over 150 international film and art festivals in 35-plus countries across 6 continents. Two-time Urian Award nominee, three-time Gawad CCP for Film winner, and winner of 13 international awards during the pandemic years alone in Denmark, Germany, USA, Canada and
Malaysia, where he won the Golden Kinabalu Award (Top Prize) at the 13th Kota Kinabalu International Film Festival. He is the Festival Director of Bakunawa Fest, the first fantastic film festival in the Philippines which is now on its 10th year.
HUBERT TIBI is a producer, editor, cinematographer, writer and director. He has a degree in Fine Arts, Major in Advertising from San Carlos University Cebu and The Philippine Women’s University Manila. He owns and manages Shotlist Productions. He has participated and won in several Cinemalaya editions. His works brought him home recognition from CCP Gawad Alternatibo, Tofarm Film Festival, Sharm El-Sheik Film Festival, European Philippine International Film Festival, Subic Bay International Film Festival, Sinag Maynila Film Festival. He became a nominee at the 44th Gawad Urian for Best Short Film, the same film screened at the Cannes Court Métrage, Festival de Cannes, 2021.
Winners for the 2023 NSFF will be announced on September 2, 2023 during the NSFF Awards Night. The NSFF is brought to you by the Project Susog Inc. and the CSPC Center for Rinconada Culture and the Arts.
