Green House has become the de-facto home of Pasalidahay and we thought of programming Filipino short films about houses, our evolving relationships to it as a space and our varied personal connections to the idea of home.

The short film program A HOUSE IS ALSO A HOME (...and a cinema) is screening this Saturday, January 31, 2026, 6:00 PM at The Green House Cinema.

Pasalidahay is celebrating 10 years of alternative cinema experience! Over the last decade we've screened short films from filmmakers in the regions and beyond, starting from pop-up venues like restobars and alternative art spaces to schools from Davao and beyond regional borders.

We're starting the year with our first special screening of short films by Mindanaoan filmmakers who have now ventured into their respective careers in filmmaking, academe and development sectors. We thank Aedrian Araojo, Edmund Telmo, Rodiell Veloso, Gnadine Estipona, Mary Ann Gabisan, and Jean Claire Dy for sharing us anew their films to a new audience!

From DIY sci-fi to irreverent comedy, docu-drama to the experimental essay, these earlier films of our featured filmmakers have excited us with their creative visions and storytelling. We hope it will excite and inspire a new, younger generation of audience, filmmakers and cinephiles alike.

Come celebrate with us at The Green House Cinema tomorrow, Saturday, January 17! Gates open at 6PM. Free admission!
