“IF YOU CAN DO THIS, YOU DON’T NEED THE GYM.”
50 push-ups.
10 pull-ups.
20 pike push-ups.
25 dips.
20 spider push-ups.
And somehow people will still say, “Bodyweight training doesn’t build muscle.” 💀
Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
You don’t need a $200 gym membership, fancy machines, or a workout with 37 exercises to get stronger.
You need progressive overload and consistency.
If 10 pull-ups are easy, make them harder.
If 50 push-ups are easy, increase the difficulty.
If regular dips aren’t challenging anymore, find a way to progress them.
Your muscles don’t know whether the resistance came from a $5,000 machine or your own bodyweight.
They respond to tension, effort, progression, and recovery.
But of course, somebody will do three months of random workouts, eat like they’re bulking for the Olympics, sleep five hours a night, make zero progress…
…and then blame bodyweight training. 😂
And before someone says, “But you can’t get REALLY big without weights” — sure, weights can make progressive overload easier, especially once you become advanced.
But saying bodyweight training is useless?
That’s just an excuse.
You can build impressive strength, muscle, endurance, coordination, and athleticism with very basic equipment.
The real problem isn’t whether you have access to a gym.
It’s whether you’re willing to show up consistently and make the exercises harder over time.
So here’s the challenge:
Could you actually complete this workout with clean form?
Or are you the type of person who saves fitness posts all day but never actually trains? 👀
Be honest in the comments.
