Чудові новини: проєкт фільму «Фіксери» (Fixing a War), який створюється у співавторстві режисерів Вадима Ількова (Україна) та Клер Стронґ (Ірландія) переміг у копродукційному конкурсі документальних фільмів від Суспільного! 💫
У відборі брало участь 17 проєктів, це найбільша кількість учасників за три роки існування конкурсу. Дякуємо Суспільному та запрошеним експертам за їхню підтримку 🤍
Проєкт розповідає про українських локальних продюсерів/ок, які допомагають іноземним журналістам висвітлювати війну в Україні. Через їхній досвід стрічка досліджує, як війна змінює уявлення про об’єктивність, правду та роль медіа, а також показує людський вимір роботи тих, хто щодня документує реальність війни.
📽️ Фільм створюється у співпраці з ірландським продакшеном Plainsong Films та вже отримав підтримку від Screen Ireland, Eurimages, фонду IMS (International Media Support), та програми Documenting Ukraine (IWM).
💫 Great news: Fixing а War, a feature documentary project co-directed by Vadym Ilkov (Ukraine) and Clare Stronge (Ireland), has won the Suspilne co-production competition for documentary films!
A total of 17 projects took part in the selection process — the highest number of submissions in the three-year history of the competition. We are deeply grateful to Суспільне Мовлення and the invited experts for their support 🤍
Fixing a War intimately follows Ukrainian field producers working with international media, showing the local perspective on the process of making global news. In the era of the weaponization of media, when nefarious propaganda undermines the basic notions of fact and truth, the film will show the process of reporting from a war zone.
📽️ The film is being developed in collaboration with the Irish production company Plainsong Films and has already received support from Screen Ireland, Eurimages, IMS (International Media Support) fund, and Documenting Ukraine (IWM).
