As much as we teach humility and peaceful coexistence, however, do not let them decide for you; strive to have what is just. The world may attempt to influence you, but let your heart guide you. Do what is right and stay with the truth, your name is your goodwill, protect it, and it shall be well with you. Once again Happy New Year

"If the foundation is flawed, what can a righteous man do?" (Psalm 11:3)

FROM SHEPHERD TO KING is an extraordinary calling. Looking at David's story, it becomes clear that many doubted he could become a king over God's people. Similar stories exist in our world today. With determination, anyone can achieve their goals. We should not let our background, past, or current circumstances hold us back from reaching our ambitions. The journey from Shepherd to King begins now, and the promising future is happening today. Happy New Year!

THE FAITHFUL SERVANT

BH 427: The Master Hath Come

1. The Master hath come, and He calls us to follow
The track of the foot prints
He leaves on our way;
Far over the mountain and through the deep hallow,
The path leads us onto the mansions of day:
The master hath called us, the Children who fear Him,
Who march ‘neath Christ’s banner,
His own little band;
We love Him and seek Him, we long to be near Him.
And rest in the light of His beautiful land.

2. The Master hath called us; the road may be dreary,
And dangers and sorrows are strewn on the track:
But God’s Holy Spirit shall comfort the weary;
We follow the Saviour and cannot tirn back;
The Master hat called us: though doubt and temptation
May compass our journey, we cheerfully sing:
“press onward, look upward” thro’ much tribulation;
The children of Zion must follow their King.

3. The Master hath called us, in life’s early morning.
With spirits as fresh as the dew on the sod:
We turn from the world, with its smile and its scorning,
To cast in our lot with the people of God:
The master hath called us, His sons and His daughters,
We plead for His blessing and trust in His Love;
And through the green pasture, beside the still waters,
He’ll lead us at last to His kingdom above.

Memory verse: A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not smuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice. Isaiah 42:3, NIV

Text: Isaiah 42:1-7

[1] “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

[2] He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.

[3] A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not s***f out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

[4] he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope.

Chapter 2 THE JOURNEY

We embarked on a journey that lasted almost ninety days and nights. Before leaving our former settlement, we were a group of sixty-two, including my family of five. However, my grandfather was among those who felt cheated because he did not have a recorded date of birth. He believed he should be the next leader after the former one was dismissed.

Eventually, we discovered a new settlement on a flat and fertile land, perfect for agriculture. We resumed our daily activities, and my grandfather became our leader. We did not have any military department or guild because we were not aware of any potential harm or invasion. However, one day, everything changed.

Just like other communities, our settlement wasn't any different. We moved to a new location without naming it and went about our daily activities. The oldest person among us became our leader, regardless of gender.

As time went on, our society grew and evolved. Women leaders were introduced but were soon criticized and abolished by male council members who craved power. Another leader emerged who was not satisfied with the current leadership, and the issue persisted.

One day, while performing our daily activities, a conflict erupted in our settlement, and we were forced to leave our home. We embarked on a journey in search of a new land, and we headed west, believing it was the only direction where we could find a green land.
