In less than one month, Lagos District is already evolving into more than a destination—it’s becoming a cultural landmark. A home for residents across the United States, and an unforgettable experience for international guests.

I am deeply honored and humbled by this growth. This is only the beginning.

When I was designing Lagos District Restaurant & Lounge, I didn’t just want to create a space that represents Nigeria and Africa — I wanted it to honor the people who have inspired me, challenged me, and shaped my journey, directly and indirectly.

One of those people is Sir Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group — a true inspiration.

Did I ever imagine that one day he would walk into Lagos District and see how I honored him in my own little hall of fame? Honestly… no.

But yesterday, March 15th, he walked in — in real life — and said just three words: “Thank you. Congratulations. I’m proud of you.”

That moment… made my year.

I only hope my father can look down and say he’s proud too. Last night gave me all the fuel I need to keep pushing, building, and striving for more.

I will keep building.

And I won’t forget to say thank you to Mama I am greatful — my special photographer 😄 🙏🙏 I was shy and nervous 🙈but she made sure she captured that moment. You are something special. And Mr. Eric, God bless you too 🙏
