Yesterday, the 1st day of September, 2026, our principal partner Enyawuile Chukwuka Abednego joined eminent members of the NBA Benin Branch (The Lion Bar) to celebrate the newly sworn in executive members of the branch in an Inaugural Ball hosted by learned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Otunba Emmanuel Olayiwola Afolabi.

E. C. Abednego, Esq. was particularly privileged to be tasked by the Learned Silk to give the keynote address during this auspicious occasion. While speaking on the topic: 'EVOLVING A NEW BAR: FROM CAMPAIGNS TO CONSTRUCTION (WITH COURAGE AND CLARITY), he charged the newly sworn in executive to seize the moment and make a difference that will have a lasting impact on the Benin Bar and its members.

In recognition of his efforts and consistent service through the years, he was honoured by the learned silk with an award of a laptop and two legal books of priceless intellectual value.

MENTORSHIP AND INSPIRATION SESSION

Yesterday, the 27th day of August, 2026, we rounded up our official engagements in Portharcourt with a special field mentorship and inspiration session.

Planned as part of the NBA-AGC intinery for Midlex delegates, we paid a visit to Onyx & Bricks (Solicitors & Legal Practitioners) managed by respected senior counsel, DARLYNTON OFEKEZE, KSE who received us alongside very respected senior counsel, Michael Efiakpor, Esq, the Principal of Starlex Legal Practitioners, Warri, Delta state.

It was a really inspiring engagement as we spent hours exploring legal trends across our respective jurisdictions, sharing insights on law office, case and client management as well as proferring solutions to perculiar challenges encountered.

We are immensely grateful to our host, Mr. Ofekeze and senior counsel, Mr. Efiakpo whose law firms we have adopted as part of our mentor firms. We are also hopeful that their continued guidance and bonds of cooperation built, will continue to inspire the push for new and enviable frontiers for our respective law firms.

BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS, BREAKING FRONTIERS

Yesterday, the 26th of August, 2026, at the sidelines of the ongoing Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference (AGC), delegates from our firm participated ina tripartite Business and Investment Summit with the Crystal Trust Finance Group based in Portharcourt and Anchor Star Conglomerate; a rising commercial phoenix in the heart of Lagos- Nigeria's commercial capital.

Whilst comparing notes on shared visions and modest success stories, representatives of all three growing concerns explored areas of mutual interest and committed to a joint investment options with a working committee set up to fine-tune take off stategies on or before the end of the last quarter of 2026.

The Investment Summit also provided an opportunity to officially kick-off the commencement of the firm's Portharcourt Branch which will be headed by one of our Principal Partners- Hannah Godman, Esq.

We are excited to notify our clients of this bold step towards bringing exceptional legal services closer to various interest points within the South south of Nigeria.
