🎥 Après Casablanca, direction Marrakech! Rendez-vous demain soir à 19h30 à Dar Bellarj - au coeur de la Médina de Marrakech. pour une projection de trois films lauréats de la troisième édition de Sala Doc dans le cadre de Sulima Fel Medina. Le projection sera suivi d'un échange avec la réalisatrice El Batoul Maria El Ouafi, du réalisateur Imrane Rahani (à distance) et du fondateur de Sala Doc, Hatim Jarir.
Offrant des projections au coeur de la médina de Marrakech, le programme Sulima Fel Medina voit le cinéma indépendant comme un outil pour réfleter des réalités sociales et politiques et préserver les archives de notre temps. Dans l'esprit de cette initiative, nous avons hâte de vous rencontrer et d'échanger autour des thèmes traités par ces films.

Offering screenings in the heart of Marrakech's medina, the Sulima Fel Medina program sees independent cinema as a tool for reflecting on social and political realities and preserving the archives of our time. Mohamed is a young student and musician who dreams of studying architecture. He was offered a grant from an Italian university, on condition that he incorporated the civilisation and heritage of his home town, Salé, into his designs. Inspired by music, he decided to explore the Andalusian heritage of the Moriscos who fled from Granada.

A group of filmmakers travels through the city of Salé, meeting various individuals and engaging in meaningful conversations. These exchanges reveal glimpses of personal lives while exploring themes of art, work, and the country's socioeconomic status.

The director notices a Bendir hanging on the wall of his father's library inside the house. Curiosity prompts him to ask his father why he is beside the books. Through his father's answer, and the testimonies of a number of women who have been present, Al-Bendir rediscovers his existence and his life.
About — Sala Doc .doc
The Sala Doc training programme, launched by Hatim Jarir in autumn 2020 in Salé, aims to contribute to the development of Moroccan documentary cinema by training young people in writing and directing techniques. They are supported at every stage of creation, from writing to distribution. Since its launch, 3 editions have been held, benefiting 44 participants and leading to the production of 15 short documentaries. The winning films from the 3rd edition of Sala Doc were widely distributed, with numerous festival selections in 14 different countries.
