🎉Looking back at the Nagoya Gala Dinner 2026✨️

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan marked a truly unforgettable edition of its Nagoya Gala Dinner on April 16, 2026, at the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel. More than 150 guests were treated to an exceptional evening rich in haute cuisine, art, and emotion.

We had the honor of welcoming distinguished guests, including the Ambassador of France to Japan, the Vice Governor of Aichi Prefecture, and the Deputy Mayor of Nagoya, representing France and Aichi.

🍽️Two-Michelin-starred Chef Mathieu Viannay of La Mère Brazier, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (M*F), traveled across continents to create an exceptional dinner—offering a sensory journey that blends the elegance of France with the finesse of Japan.

💃🕺The evening featured an ethereal performance by contemporary dancer Kae Kurachi and flamenco dancer Takashi Isomura, presenting a dreamlike and atmospheric piece.

An evening shaped by elegance, encounters, and timeless moments… The Nagoya Gala 2026 will remain a lasting memory. We hope to welcome you at our next edition.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Loïc Bénétière, co-founder of Ceysson & Bénétière, to reflect on the gallery’s twenty-year journey and its expansion from France to Japan. 🇫🇷🇯🇵
In this new episode of Business: Crossed Perspectives, Loïc Bénétière shares how:
- the gallery was born far from the major Parisian art centers, in Saint-Étienne.
- recognition was built over time, through consistency and dedicated work.
- international expansion came naturally, with spaces across Europe and the United States.
- Asia became an obvious next step, materialized by the recent opening of a gallery in Tokyo.
- the encounter with Leslie You brought this long-standing Japanese project to life.
The Tokyo space, conceived as an “ideal gallery,” is the result of significant investment and rigorous reflection, balancing respect for Japanese standards, meticulous attention to detail, and the enhancement of the artworks.

He could have pursued an international career in finance. But in 2013, he left everything behind to return to what truly mattered to him: meaning. It was in Japan, a country he has been visiting since 1986, that he found this new path. A path shaped by long-term commitment, craftsmanship, and transmission: the world of Japanese sake.

✨ She could have settled in the world’s fashion capitals.
But it’s in Fukui that she chose to unpack her bags.

There, she built a unique brand — born from her inspirations — and earned a true place in Japan’s creative landscape.
🎨 Today, Virginie, founder of Viruxiny, embodies a different path for creative entrepreneurship in Japan: that of an artist who turned an intuition into a sustainable business.

In this new episode of Itinéraires Singuliers, we wanted to understand how this French woman, living in Japan for 25 years, managed to:
-turn the provinces into a springboard rather than a limitation
-create an artisanal brand respected by the most demanding clients
-prove that you can remain an artist while becoming a business leader
-assert her vision in a still highly codified environment
-build success through loyalty, hands-on work, and perseverance

👗 Her story is a courageous bet: selling wearable art in the age of fast fashion.
It’s also the story of a woman who taught herself Japanese, sewing, negotiation, and leadership.
All the way to achieving the best clothing sales at Nishiginza, outperforming national brands.

🎙️ If we launched Itinéraires Singuliers, it’s to tell stories like this one.
Stories of women and men with unconventional paths who dared to try something in Japan — a project, a bet, a dream — and turned it into success. ✨

🎧 The video is available on YouTube (link in bio).
🙏 If this story inspires you, share it — it might encourage others to believe in their dreams, even on the other side of the world.
