Venezia è ufficialmente iniziata! E mentre la 83. Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica entra nel vivo, si avvicina anche l’appuntamento con : la sesta edizione del concorso dedicati a giovani filmaker con una storia da raccontare sulla sostenibilità.

- Cinque categorie con candidati da tutto il mondo e opere che spaziano dalla fiction al documentario, passando per l'animazione
- Una giuria d'eccezione presieduta da Pif, che riunisce attori, registi, sceneggiatori, casting director, direttori della fotografia, per un "totale" di 10 premi David di Donatello
- Un premio speciale dedicato a : la nuova piattaforma digitale di nata per dare visibilità a storie che contano

Venice is officially underway! And as the 83rd Venice International Film Festival gets into full swing, the is just around the corner: the sixth edition of the competition dedicated to young filmmakers with stories to tell about sustainability.

- Five categories, featuring entries from around the world and works ranging from fiction and documentary to animation
- An outstanding jury chaired by Pif, bringing together actors, directors, screenwriters, casting directors and cinematographers, with a combined total of 10 David di Donatello Awards
- A special award dedicated to , ’s new digital platform created to shine a spotlight on stories that matter

🎬 Ed ecco a voi... la Giuria del premio speciale Grand Canal 🎬

Grand Canal è la sezione di Son of a Pitch Award nata per dare nuova visibilità a cortometraggi di valore e creare un ponte tra cinema indipendente, nuove generazioni e organizzazioni pubbliche e private.

Quest'anno, la giuria sarà composta da professionisti e professioniste che lavorano ogni giorno nello sviluppo, nella produzione e nella distribuzione di contenuti audiovisivi.

Una giuria pensata per rafforzare il dialogo tra i giovani talenti indipendenti e la dimensione industriale del cinema. A presiederla sarà Erica Negri, Head of Commissioning Sky Studios IT.

Accanto a lei: Tamara Prandi, Development Executive Cattleya; Cecilia Spera, Executive Producer Indigo Film; Raffaele Perillo, Produttore Delegato Numero 10; Michelangelo Fano, Manager Film Italy Netflix.

La sua giuria porta dentro il premio uno sguardo concreto sul mercato, sulle opportunità e sui percorsi possibili per le storie di domani.

🎬 Meet the Grand Canal Jury 🎬

Grand Canal is the newborn Son of a Pitch Award spin-off born to give new visibility to valuable short films and create a bridge between independent cinema, new generations and public and private organizations.

The Grand Canal Jury will be composed of professionals working every day across development, production and commissioning in the audiovisual industry.

A jury created to strengthen the dialogue between young independent talents and the industrial side of cinema. The jury will be chaired by Erica Negri, Head of Commissioning Sky Studios IT.

Alongside her: Tamara Prandi, Development Executive Cattleya; Cecilia Spera, Executive Producer Indigo Film; Raffaele Perillo, Delegate Producer at Numero 10; Michelangelo Fano, Manager Film Italy Netflix.

Grand Canal was born to give new visibility to valuable short films and create a bridge between independent cinema, new generations and public and private organizations.

Its jury brings a concrete perspective on the market, on opportunities and on possible paths for the stories of tomorrow.

🎬 La nuova giuria artistica di Son of a Pitch Award 🎬

Ogni cortometraggio porta con sé uno sguardo. Un modo di raccontare il presente, leggere il cambiamento, immaginare ciò che verrà.

Per questo, ogni anno, Son of a Pitch Award affida la selezione delle opere a una giuria capace di attraversare il cinema da prospettive diverse: scrittura, regia, fotografia, interpretazione, casting.

Per l’edizione 2026, a guidare la giuria sarà ancora Pif, Presidente di Giuria sin dalla prima edizione.

Accanto a lui: Michele Astori, sceneggiatore; Luca Bigazzi, direttore della fotografia e vincitore di 7 David di Donatello; Giusy Buscemi, attrice; Barbara Giordani, casting director; Aurora Quattrocchi, attrice e David di Donatello 2026.

Voci, esperienze e sensibilità diverse, unite dallo stesso obiettivo: riconoscere le storie capaci di lasciare un segno. Son of a Pitch Award 2026 si svolgerà il 9 e 10 settembre, durante la Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia.

🎬 Meet the new Artistic Jury of Son of a Pitch Award 🎬
Every short film carries a point of view. A way to tell the present, read change and imagine what comes next.

That’s why, every year, Son of a Pitch Award entrusts the selection of the films to a jury able to look at cinema from different perspectives: writing, directing, cinematography, acting and casting.

For the 2026 edition, the jury will once again be led by Pif, President of the Jury since the first edition.

Alongside him: Michele Astori, screenwriter; Luca Bigazzi, cinematographer and winner of 7 David di Donatello Awards; Giusy Buscemi, actress; Barbara Giordani, casting director; Aurora Quattrocchi, actress and David di Donatello 2026.

Son of a Pitch Award 2026 will take place from September 9 to 10, during the Venice International Film Festival.
