Reflections is an open forum for students, research scholars, faculty and campus residents of IIT Madras. The purpose of Reflections is to “look within” to understand fundamental issues pertaining to life and explore conscious living for individual transformation and authentic social changes. The formation of Reflections was spurred by the motivation for self-improvement and character building in
the community at IIT Madras, especially students. Reflections has a rich tradition of organising a variety of events including lectures, bi-semester magazine publications, debates, panel discussions, movie and video screenings, surveys, case studies and even weekend retreats. In an attempt to encourage discussions on deeper issues of life, Reflections spans a wide spectrum from Faculty-student interaction, stress management, habits, career selection, institute elections, to philosophical dialogues on education, morality, science and spirituality.
