「映像先驗」成立於2012年的影像創作組織，成員來自不同媒體界別，深信創意是「先於經驗」，不應受任何界線和傳統所規範。
紀錄片作品《乾旦路》(2012)及《子非魚》(2013) 分別獲得CNEX基金會資助拍攝，並先後於香港上映；《延長線》(2014)、《一個武生》(2015) 分別得到威尼斯建築雙年展(香港館)及香港藝術發展局委約拍攝。最新製作《戲棚》(2019) 由西九文化區戲曲中心委約拍攝。
作品曾榮獲「FIRST青年電影展」最佳紀錄片、兩屆「香港電影評論學會大獎」年度推薦電影、「香港電影導演會年度大獎」執委會特別獎、「金馬獎」最佳紀錄片提名、「香港電影金像獎」新晉導演提名及「華語電影傳媒大獎」最佳新導演提名；入圍本地及國際影展，並獲邀到倫敦、紐約、三藩市、威尼斯、巴黎、東京、首爾、新加坡、北京及台北等地作公開放映；並持續在香港社區、本地及海外大學舉辦巡迴放映及講座，包括耶魯大學，加
州大學洛杉磯分校，密歇根大學，倫敦國王學院，美國亞洲研究協會年會和美國華人博物館。

Founded in 2012. A Priori Image, which is a collective creative group focuses on documentary making, involve creative talents from diversified media. Documentary features My Way (2012)and Fish Story (2013)were funded and distributed by CNEX Foundation, and theatrical released in Hong Kong. Connection (2014)and My Next Step (2015)was commissioned by 14thVenice Architecture Biennale (Hong Kong Exhibition) and Hong Kong Arts Development Council respectively. Latest productionBamboo Theatre (2019)was commissioned by Xiqu Centre of West Kowloon Cultural District. Award-wining documentariesreceived Best Documentary Award at the Xining FIRST International Film Festival, Film of Merit at the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, Special Mention Award at the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild Awards, the nomination of Best Documentary at the Golden Horse Awards, Best New Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Best New Director at the Chinese Film Media Awards. And they were selected by several festivals and screened in London, New York, San Francisco, Venice, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Beijing, Taipei and many more, including numerous community screenings and talks in Hong Kong community and worldwide universities, including Yale University, University of California Los Angeles, University of Michigan, King's College London, Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference and Museum of Chinese In America.
