This is the last book update from my recent cruise.
My Flying fish reference book now has 82 different flying fish and four Flying squid in it.

This is the first really practical Flying Fish reference guide showing these amazing creatures in the air. Inside the book are 82 pictures specially created to help you to identify Flying Fish. Where possible each picture contains 2 views of each, which improves identification. One fish reference...

Yesterday I published my RN memoirs of my 23 years service.
It includes details of the sinking of HMS Sheffield and my visits to the Falklands in 1982 & 1983, plus much more.

The final act of remembrance on this trip was to scatter Rose petals over the wreck of HMS Sheffield for my friend Kev Sullivan.
We had held a memorial service onboard the sunday before.
In Stanley we visited the 1982 memorial.
My thanks go to all who attended and to Canon Ed who arranged so much.
The Captain and crew of Borealis have been outstanding in supporting all of this, even getting us ashore yesterday in very poor conditions.

This cruise is also about photographing wildlife.
The Manx Shearwater has come as far as we have and it was lovely to see the Sea Lion porpoising, which means it can travel away from us quicker.

We are now in Buenos Aires and I have been to their memorial to pay my respects to the fallen.
We will be having a service on the ship next Sunday and I will be scattering some Poppy Leaves as we pass by HMS Sheffield, just as Capt Sam Salt did in 1983.

We are now back in Southampton ready to start our Grand Voyage 2026.
This is a voyage of Remembrance and Discovery for me, and HMS Southampton had a wonderful relationship with the city.
As we head South look out for more memories that relate to this trip.

In 1982 & 1983 my son was on the Round Tower in Portsmouth as I headed south on HMS Southampton to defend the Falklands.
Today he (Andrew Babb) took these pictures as I again headed South to the same place.
This time it is a holiday on Fred Olsen's Borealis going around South America, where I hope to get to see Antarctica.
