We welcome this news tonight.

Thank you to all who listened and campaigned with and for us. We still have a long way to go but this is a welcome rescue for the Arts. Eclipse will continue to be at the heart of the conversation and action to ensure all the communities we serve are heard.

The show must go on.

“Windrush day is a day of reflection and giving thanks combined with truth for us here at Eclipse. We celebrate the strength and courage it must have taken to get on board the Empire Windrush. We also recognise the sacrifices taken in order for the generations to come to live a happy, safe and healthy life.

Alongside this recognition and celebration, is the continued evidence regarding inequality faced by their descendants in every strata of the United Kingdom. This includes the recent revelations of what happened in the Windrush Scandal.

We still have a long way to go, but perhaps recent collective energy and focus on race and inequality means not as long as the generations that have already passed.”

Well done #EllaMesma and #MelanieAbrahams - another great session last Wednesday. Seeing Art/Creativity as part of activism and resistance is important for us to do at this time - well done [#SlateWorld](https://twitter.com/hashtag/SlateWorld?src=hashtag_click) and Eclipse Theatre Company Ltd for creating such a beautiful safe space. You rock.
Saw 'The Gift' last night and would like to thank Janice and Dawn for bringing such a thought -provoking and ambitious play to the stage. All the performances were excellent; the writing nuanced and the direction on point. Congratulations

“I write for young girls of color, for girls who don’t even exist yet, so that there is something there for them when they arrive.” — #NtozakeShange Sending Sister Ntozake’s spirit love and warmth as she joins the ancestors. “For Colored Girls,” she did it for us. RIP.
We have just launched a great opportunity for writers. More details can be found here http://mikron.org.uk/new-writers If you can write a good gag, a gripping plot, use song to tell stories, elicit a tear, undertake research then impart it through drama, this could be the job for you.
I went to see the Black Men Walking Play yesterday in Sheffield and I though that it was very cleverly done. It captured the essence of the Northern black walker experience with humour that is a big part of our story. It is well worth seeing and very well done.
So Dawn. I’ve got 3 months to sort this breastfeeding out so I can come & watch Black Men Walking with my mum Julie in April. Great good luck with the tour until then X.
