You might not remember me, I am Hacho, I met you last February, when you came in to speak at Liverpool University. It might help you if I said that I am the Bulgarian kid from UniCredit Private Banking. It has been one year since I read your book "From Student to CEO" and every single day I have been thinking about the things you said in it. You changed my views on life, you changed every way I think about the world. I want to say a big THANK YOU because, although I did not enroll on any of your courses or buy your books, you were my sole inspiration, and now, a year later, I have just received an offer for a summer internship in Fundamental Equities in BlackRock London. I had to work very hard to get it, but my inspiration was your speech in Liverpool, and afterwards, the book. Thank you, Simon, I owe you big time!

Just checking in to see how you are all getting on with your careers.

I recently came across a presentation on the future of banking and finance careers that a gave a while ago and although I no longer help graduates with banking careers and Bank Talk Show (Benedix) is not around, the message is still completely valid.

If you are struggling right now, review this video and think about changing your approach. It is pure content.

A message I personally relate to. This young man has a message that needs to be shared. Make you life something worth sharing. I know I work less with graduates than I used to, but this really was the mission I originally det out to achieve - waking people up to the potential of ou. You will never know what you are capable of, until you break the mould.

As seen many times, I have reported on TV that Greece has the perfect opportunity to be a model for reform and show the world how to build an economy not based on debt.

While I recommend slightly different policies, Iceland is the closest country for being a case study of what can happen when you rebuild an economy without the huge reliance on debt and now the IMF has confirmed that the reforms we propose will be positive all round for each of the areas they measure to build an economy.

We could just walk out at the end of this lost decade with a very sustainable economy. Those interested in this and understanding it in a plain English way and what it means to you and how to protect yourself you might want to check out my book:
